Reflection:

     In this quote the speaker is talking about metaphorical goalposts. They symbolize your goals in life. He is saying that if you don’t know where your life is heading then you will never get there and end up someplace that is not pleasant. I agree with this statement because since you are in school you should know what kind of adult life you want. It should be there that you prepare yourself for what lies ahead because education can get you far in life. If you don’t have a good education you will most likely be forced to work in manual labor to get some money. Those with a good education may stay up late but they always have change in their environment so it is not always tedious. You should know where you want your life to be headed in because when you don’t care you will end up somewhere you might regret.
