Student Success Statement
“In any moment of decision, the best thing to do
is the right thing.”
Theodore Roosevelt
Reflection:
He is trying to say that even when you are under pressure you
should always do the right thing. I agree with this statement because any sort
of pressure should not be a deciding factor. People say that they make the
worst decisions under pressure but they usually choose what will benefit them
the most even if it is not the right thing. These decisions usually backfire
because they are made in haste and are not thought through. An example of this
could be if your friends invite you to a party at last minute but you have to
sneak out of the house to go. Your friends push you to make a fast decision
because they want you to come with them. Most people would go to the party
because they want to have fun. That backfires because their parents could find
out and they will be grounded for a really long time. They had fun for a little
bit but that had lasting consequences.
