student success statement

Student Success Statement
“Disciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important, although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem, and personal satisfaction.”
Margaret Thatcher
Reflection:
I think that she is trying to say that when you have a clear conscience you radiate pride and just have higher self-esteem than others because you aren't like them. I agree with this quote because once you have disciplined yourself enough that you never choose the wrong you live worry free. One example of this may be a student. When the student is starting out in school and he or she starts knowing how to manage their behavior and finish their work instead of goofing off then that child feels very proud of themselves that they have mastered the art of discipline and will be great students the rest of their school experience because usually those who don’t know how to behave get frustrated and give up. Once they give up they will fall behind when they finally want to be better.
