Reflection:

       He is trying to say that a person should have a goal they want to accomplish in life so they have meaning. A person that has no goals or interests just goes through life wandering with no purpose and will eventually sink like a ship without a rudder. This has happened many times where people without purpose eventually go down a wrong path and they do many bad things. The ship could also symbolize that person’s life. When it has no rudder it might go where the wind takes it and when that happens it lands somewhere unknown that can be dangerous.
