Student Success Statement
“To know what is right and not do it us the worst kind of cowardice”
Confucius
Reflection:
He is saying that the worst cowards are those who know that they should do something because it is the right thing to do. They do not stand up for what they believe in and therefore they are cowardly to stand up to those who are in the wrong. Unlike cowards, the brave always make their stand and will back up anything they have said. They think before they act or say so therefore they have evidence to support what they are saying. All the cowards will back down at a sign of a verbal confrontation because they know they are wrong or think they cannot win because they are not a majority and therefore don’t matter. Those who are not cowards are the people who are doing well in school because they want to go to college. They know that high school is temporary so what you did here or who you fought won’t matter. You might still remember it but it will not set a bright future for you. On the other hand if you go to college and graduate you are set for the rest of your life.
