Reflection

Summary:
Two grandparents in Dayton locked their 3 year old granddaughter in the bathroom for six years. They only let her out to go to school. She would walk out of the bathroom in the morning to go to school and come back after school and go back in the bathroom. She was not fed well either, her meals were "inconsistent at best". She only had a fold up cot and a blanket to sleep on. Dayton Sgt. Larry Tolpin said "living conditions were deplorable." The girl is now a 9 year old fourth grader. The girl is the biological maternal granddaughter and the grandparents have had custody of her and her brother since 2004. Their reason for locking her up was to discipline her since they though she wasn't maturing fast enough.
Reflection:
What I think about this story is that what the grandparents did to the little girl was horrible. They deserve all the jail time they get because they have damaged her. When she should have been playing with other kids from her block she was stuck inside a bathroom. Not only was she stuck in there for 6 years but she did not have the proper nutrition. They probably stunted her growth. All in all what the grandparents did is detestable and should be punished.
