Alex Schwazer

Summary/Reflection:

Alex Schwazer won the gold in Beijing on 2008 for racewalking. Not only did he win the gold but he beat the world record. When he crossed that finish line we was so proud of himself. The whole of Italy, his country, was proud of him. In the recent London Olympics he was kicked out for the use of illegal drugs. He gave a press conference saying that he was actually happy that he got caught. He says that drugs are not for him and saying that he didn't like deceiving the people around him. In my opinion, he did the right thing but not at the right time. If he would have confessed to his loved ones of his addiction they could have gotten him some help. I still admire that he told the truth though. He should seek help and get better friends than the ones who let him take the drugs.
