1. I think its was revolutionary. He worked with really bright colors and painted some of the most famous people of the time. He chose colors many others artists would have not and put them into portraits. This art is exciting because of the livelyness of it. It was commercial but it was still art. His abnormal color pallete brought him much fame and recognition. He deserved it for being so bold and daing in his art.
