Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
---Calvin Coolidge, 30th president if the United States
Reflection:
I agree with this quote because being persistent gets you noticed in today’s world. When someone who is talented does not pursue what they want to do without will, they lose that opportunity that could have been theirs if they had only tried hard enough. Nowadays education is not exclusive to the very rich so education will not separate you from many other college graduate. Employers want to see someone who loves what they do and shows it.
