"The Metamorphosis of Narcissus"

1. I see two different versions of the same image.I also see that both of them have different backgrounds. One is more mountainous and the other seems to be in a city.I see that the left image has more life than the other because the center of the image seems to be a human while the other looks like a hand holding something. The rooted flower on the right one gives the second image some sort of life.
2. Some feelings this painting gives are hope. For example when a change happens. The flower on the right image gives hope because although the left one seems human, the right one has some hope because some form of life refuses to let go an wither. The mood of this is conflicting since it is sad the image changed but yet it remains hopeful because not all life is gone and it may come back.
