Student Success Statement
“Keep your eyes on the prize”
ANON
Reflection:
I agree with this statement because the only way to succeed in life or reach your goals is to always keep in mind what you’re reaching for. It will be a great motivator when you feel like giving up. A good example would be getting a college education. What I have always wanted since I was four was to go and graduate from a university. I have always wanted to have a diploma that says I’m qualified for the job I am applying for. I have always wanted to be on my own and doing something for myself that will greatly benefit me in the long run.

Ten Tips for Students’ Success
St. Johns University
1.             Attend your classes. Remember in the words of Woody Allen
‘Seventy of success in life is showing up’,

Student Success Statement
“You make your habits
and your habits make you.”
ANON
Reflection:
I agree with this statement because the things you do are your own decisions. You should be responsible and not blame someone else for your habits. They do make you who you are. If you have bad habits you are not as much of a great person as someone who has really good habits. If you enjoy many bad vices then they eventually destroy your life and you may not notice it right away but it will drive those around you away.

7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens
By: Sean Covey
For teens, life is not a playground, it’s a jungle. And, being the parent of a teenager isn’t any walk in the park, either. In his book, The Habits of Highly Effective Teens, author Sean Covey attempts to provide “a compass to help teens and their parents navigate the problems they encounter daily.”
How will they deal with peer pressure? Motivation? Success or lack thereof? The life of a teenager is full of tough issues and life-changing decisions. As a parent, you are responsible to help them learn the principles and ethics that will help them to reach their goals and have a successful life.
While it’s all well and good to tell kids how to live their lives, “teens watch what you do more than they listen to what you say,” Covey says. So practice what you preach. Your example can be very influential.
Covey himself has done well by following a parent’s example. His dad, Stephen Covey, wrote the book The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People, which sold over 15 million copies. Sean’s a chip off the old block, and no slacker. His own book has rung in more than a respectable 2 million copies sold. Here are his seven habits, and some ideas for helping your teen understand and apply them:
Choose The Right!!!

Self Discipline

Self-Discipline
Self-Discipline is :
  • Self-Control
  • Self-Mastery
  • Determination
  • Willpower
  • Strength of Mind
  • Obedience with exactness

Reflection:
Having self-discipline means being able to control oneself in difficult and challenging times. It means being brave enough to try and fail than never try at all. It also means being strong enough to pick yourself up when you are down and try over.

Student Success Statement
“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s
wrong.”
Wilford Woodruff
Reflection:
I agree with this statement because when you do wrong you get punished for it sooner or later. It will always be eating at your conscience. When you choose the wrong you people lose respect for you.
